I have been putting the aluminium trims back on today and I am quite amused at how simple it has been. They just sort of went on. No major complications, no dramas, no dropping the mastic covered trims on the ground to get covered in sand, nothing. I used Geobond to put the awning rail on as I expect it needs a firmer hold of the van, and a thick bead of Seamseal around the other trims. It looks like a lovely job to me, but then, what do I know! Here she is almost ready for the road by all accounts. I haven't got the trims on the nearside as it is in at the fence. I shall have to mover her tomorrow and get that done. All that remains to be done after that is tidy up the finish in the inside. I may fit a new carpet as this one has got a little grubby. Curtain rails to go back up and new curtains, made by my sister-in-law, to be attached. Then it is only the usual stuff to do and we can go for our first holiday in our wee caravan. Here she is almost done...a wee bit grubby, but a bit of soap and elbow grease should help that. (I am still waiting for the "A" frame cowel to come back from the coachworks...it was badly battered and I had sorted it even before I started the damp repair!)
